About the role:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Python Developer to join Ventia as part of our Next Generation Asset Management team which provides end to end IoT solutions across Ventia's various sectors as well as other clients. We both manufacture IoT devices and integrate 3rd party devices and solutions.

We build, operate, maintain and carrier grade LoRaWAN network. Our solutions span from devices collecting data in the field through to data delivery and analysis.

We can meet you anywhere online, or come join us in the one of our offices located right across Australia, including: Sydney (North Sydney or Parramatta), Brisbane Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver solutions for backend data processing and delivery.
• Integrating devices into network through development of data pipelines and database solutions.
• Contribute to data analytics solutions.
• Work with DevOps to automate system monitoring, testing and deployment.

About you:

• Excellent experience with Python development.
• Have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• You are an experienced back-end engineer.
• Experience with a relational database; MySQL preferred
• Familiarity with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront etc) would be an advantage.
• Willing to work in and pick up other programming languages and technology frameworks where appropriate.
